Haolebaoji-Ji’an Railway is 1813.5 kilometers long, passing through seven provinces and regions, including Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi. It is a heavy haul railway completed in one construction with the longest operating mileage and acts as China’s longest strategic channel to transport coal from north China to south China. Up to now, there have been 9,074 freight trains running on this railway, with 32,116,100 tons of goods sent, which guaranteed the supply of energy to the Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi and other Provinces and provided sufficient transportation capacity to promote regional economic and social development in those places.
Based on the situation in the northern Shaanxi energy zone, CR-Xi’an unlocked the transportation capacity of the Haolebaoji-Ji’an Railway and optimized the transportation structure. CR-Xi’an enabled a three-tier logistics marketing system that consists of the freight department, logistics center, and sales department to work by dividing responsible areas into sections, establishing transportation projects, extending the scope of management to both ends, launching site visits to enterprises, and providing one-on-one service to customers. It also rebuilt the Jingbian East station, expanded its capacity, increased two locomotive waiting tracks, and built the Yanjiagou-Yuhuangmiao Connection Line, thus achieving interconnection between two major coal transport channels: Haolebaoji-Ji’an Railway and Baotou-Xi’an Railway.
