At 10:28 on May 10, the X8730 express freight train departed from Guangzhouguojigang Railway Station and arrived at Shijiazhuangxi Railway Station 28 hours later. The operation of this express freight train signifies the addition of a new logistics channel between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region.
It is reported that this train was jointly operated by CR-Guangzhou's Guangzhou Railway Logistics Center and CTS International Logistics Co., Ltd. It mainly carries 36 types of goods produced in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, including aluminum, lamps, toys and electronic products. The transportation time for goods has been shortened from about 5 days to 28 hours, achieving "next-day delivery" of goods between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region.
In response to the complexity of untaxed goods with diverse categories and inconsistent sizes and volumes, the Guangzhou Railway Logistics Center has formulated in advance safety management plans for loading, reinforced container loading and arranged security checks for mixed cargo. Each cargo item is meticulously reviewed and inspected, and partial inspection and testing of mixed cargo containers are conducted in advance to ensure the safe operation of the train.
