International Railroad Through Transport of Goods

The  International Railroad Through Transport of Goods refers to the whole-journey railway transport in which the participating railways jointly use a transport document and are jointly and severally liable in the transport of goods across national borders and on the railways of more than two countries. For the relevant provisions on handling international railroad through transport of goods, please refer to the Agreement on International Railroad Through Transport of Goods and its Detailed Rules. China Railway handles international railroad through transport of goods with the following countries: Mongolia, Vietnam, North Korea, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Armenia, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Albania, Afghanistan, Iran and Turkey.   

In order to fully tap the potential of the logistics corridor of the new Silk Road Economic Belt, CHINA RAILWAY has made every effort to develop "fast, punctual, safe, stable, green and environment friendly" CHINA RAILWAY Express (China-Europe), and CHINA RAILWAY Express (China-Central Asia) services. In 2015, CR operated over 800 CHINA RAILWAY Express (China-Europe) trains, which have become the backbone of land transport in international logistics due to its short transport distance, fast speed and high security, as well as its advantages of safety, timeliness, environment-friendliness and all-weather operation.
