In recent years, thanks to a series of policy incentives, the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor has continuously improved in quality and efficiency. Data shows that the corridor now connects 542 ports in 125 countries and regions. The types of goods transported range from industrial products such as automobiles and machinery to agricultural products such as fruits and meats, with more than 1,160 types of goods. Along the corridor, 111 foreign trade ports and 48 comprehensive bonded zones have been established. In the first ten months of this year, the comprehensive bonded zones along the corridor achieved imports and exports worth 1.55 trillion yuan, a YoY increase of 10.4%.
In addition, cross-border logistics along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor have become more efficient. Customs statistics show that in the first ten months of this year, the China-Laos Railway saw 6,525 trains, and the China-Vietnam Railway saw 1,700 trains, with YoY increases of 36.5% and 47%, respectively. The overall operation efficiency of cross-border trains has improved by more than 60%. During the same period, the provinces, regions and municipalities along the corridor exported agricultural products worth 26.88 billion yuan, an increase of 12.3% year-on-year, with more high-quality, specialty agricultural products entering international markets.
